Standards and legislation
Relation between standards and legislation
As a member of the Europen Committee for Standardization CEN, Austria is obliged to implement European Standards in the national body of standards.
European Stendards also serve the implementation of directives of the European Commission. Those directives have to be transformed in to national law.
This means that with the help of standards laws are specified in detail.
