Current status

The current status of a document can be described using one of the following options:

Currently applicable document

European Standard, if work on the standard is finished or
European Pre-standard (ENV), if an EN is currently being developed or
Draft, if no ENV existed for the respective topic and an EN is being compiled

Document superseded

The standard/s listed will be superseded by the published ÖNORM EN 199x-x-x and withdrawn.

Co-existence period

Time period in which European and national Standards covering the same topic may exist in parallel even if the contents are contradictive. After the end of the co-existence period only European Standards shall be applied. National standards have to be either adapted or withdrawn.

National Annex

National decisions to a ÖNORM EN 199x-x-x, when possible, can be found in a National Annex, a national standard, designated ÖNORM B 199-x-x which has to be applied jointly with the European Standard.

The connection between the two standards is made by a national foreword in the ÖNORM EN 199x-x-x

Contents of the National Annex

The essential content of a National Annex are the Nationally Determined Parameters, NDP (e.g. partial factors).
Comments: Should the responsible technical committee be of the opinion that the general application of the content of an EUROCODE can not be suggested, e.g. for safety reasons, a limited field of application will be proposed. Obscurities, based on the translation into the german language, are being clarified.
