ÖNORM EN 1992-2|Bridges

EN 1992-2 describes the principles and requirements for safety, serviceability and durability of concrete structures of reinforced and/or prestressed concrete, made of normal or lightweight aggregates. It is based on the limit state concept used in conjunction with a partial factor method.

EN 1992-2 is intended to be used for the design of new structures together with other parts of EN 1992, EN 1990, EN 1991, EN 1997 and EN 1998. Principles and Application Rules for the design of bridges in addition to those stated in EN 1992-1-1 are given.

It has been necessary to introduce in EN 1992-2 some material, which is not bridge specific and which strictly belongs to Part 1-1 in the form of new clauses or amplifications of some clauses of Part 1-1. These are deemed valid interpretations of EN 1992-1-1. Clauses and sub-clauses in EN 1992-2 that modify those in EN 1992-1-1 are specially numbered
